Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re new to massage therapy or not sure what to expect, this page covers some of the most common questions about treatment, session length, and what might be the right fit for you.

This is a treatment-focused practice, delivered in a calm, relaxing way.
The goal is to figure out why you’re in pain and treat that—rather than just working on the area that hurts. Sessions are tailored to your body, your habits, and what’s actually driving the issue.
That often means more targeted work, and sometimes going deeper than what you may have experienced elsewhere—but always with a purpose.
A lot of the work here revolves around tension and pain that builds over time, especially from desk work or repetitive patterns.
Common concerns include:
Neck and shoulder tension
Low back pain
Headaches and migraines
Postural strain from sitting
Hip and glute tightness
General stiffness that doesn’t seem to go away
If something feels “chronic” or keeps coming back, that’s usually where this kind of work helps most.
Yes—but “deep” is used intentionally.
It’s not about using as much pressure as possible. It’s about working at the right depth to actually change the tissue, without creating unnecessary discomfort.
For some people that feels quite deep, for others it’s more moderate. The pressure always adjusts to what your body responds best to.
It depends on what you’re coming in for.
45 minutes → one specific area
60 minutes → most common, allows for proper treatment of 1–2 issues
75–90 minutes → better for full-body tension or more complex patterns
If everything feels tight, shorter sessions can feel rushed. Longer sessions give the space to actually make progress.
The first session is about understanding what’s going on.
We’ll go over your symptoms, daily habits, and anything that might be contributing. From there, treatment is focused on your main concerns, with adjustments as needed throughout the session.
If it makes sense, you’ll also get a simple plan for moving forward.
Still not sure where to start?
If you’re dealing with ongoing tension or pain, the best way to figure out what you need is to come in for a session.
